The Harvest Fest killings are back … the cycle of
slaughter begins again!

Bayview Entertainment announced this past that
writer/director Ted Pfeifer’s mixed-genre thriller,
Devils
Lake
, will be making its Blu-ray debut on July
25.  Part neo-gaillo mystery and part slasher horror tale,
Devils
Lake
marks the return to the storyline of the
Harvest Fest killing cycle that was launched in 2004 with director Brad Goodman’s
Harvest of Fear and his
2005 sequel,
The Path of Evil, which
gave us the twists and turns of a series of serial killings that took place in Devils
Lake over the years.

Ted Pfeifer provided the scripts (in collaboration) for
both
Harvest of Fear and The Path
of Evil
(as well as playing Deputy Lee
Silver) and now takes to the director’s chair in this third installment in the
series.

Also, back is actor/producer Justin Ament (Shadowheart,
Twelve City Blocks
) as Jake Barker, whose parents
were slaughtered in the first round of Harvest Fest killings when he was just a
child.   He stuck around and became a
deputy, who was something of a surly jerk in
Harvest
of Fear
(his girlfriend left him for the
hot new medical intern, Billy McKinley, so you can understand his mood) and he was
nearly killed in
The Path of Evil.

Traumatized as a result of the events that unfolded
in the sequel, Jake left town, moved on with his life, but he has been called
back to town by his uncle Stuart (Michael Cahill) to deal with the family
property.

The town’s new mayor Dana Jenkins
(played by stuntwoman-turn-actor Michelle Damis —
Lake
Noir, A Tale of Delight
) and her oily “assistant,”
Rick (Richard G. Boron) are up to no good and Jake’s uncle is a bit overwhelmed.  Devils Lake is the last place that Jake wants to
be, but his uncle is all the family he has left, so back he comes.

DVD & Blu-ray Release Report, Ralph Tribbey @dvdblurayreportLee Silver (Pfeifer) is now the
town’s sheriff, who has a new deputy, Courtney Watson (Alysse Fozmark —
Roll It,
Mount Adams, Sinphony
) … and Billy (Ryan Deal — Dark Horizon),
that hot new intern from the first two installments in the series, is also back,
but he’s locked up in the nut house.

No sooner is Jake back, when long-missing bodies are
discovered on the property and then it happens … two new killings.   Is the Harvest Fest cycle about to
repeat?   What is Jake’s connection to
all of this?   And how can Billy be
involved if he’s locked up?

To find the answers to these questions and more, be
sure to check out the Blu-ray debut of writer/director Ted Pfeifer’s Devils
Lake from Bayview Entertainment on July 25.
