The Fractured Resolve Force Tear is a platforming jumping puzzle in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. At first glance, it seems pretty simple, but it might cause some confusion for new players. Players who complete this challenge will be rewarded with a Perk that can be selected to enhance their combat abilities. If players have trouble with stuttering and low framerate, this puzzle becomes even more challenging – luckily there are some improvements that can be made to solve low framerate.

This Force Tear is one of the first hidden challenges that players may come across while exploring the planet Koboh. It might get overlooked if one were to be simply completing the main story as fast as possible, but a keen eye will be able to spot something out of place.

Fractured Resolve Force Tear Location On Koboh

This Force Tear is located in the Swindler’s Wash zone of the Rambler’s Reach Region. The first time players will be in the area is likely when they are on the “Open The Forest Gate” main story quest. If you’ve unlocked the Swindler’s Wash Meditation Point, head directly to the left and into the valley. If you’ve reached the Bilemaw at the end you’ve gone too far.

The entrance to the Force Tear is in a small dark cave behind a waterfall. Look for a feint, glowing purple orb as you get closer. There will be an option to interact with it allowing entrance to the time trial.

How To Beat Fractured Resolve Force Tear

Players need to jump across a series of platforms to reach the end goal. Some platforms are weak and will break if they are stood on for too long. The platforms are spaced close enough that a single jump will typically suffice, but there are also sections that require a double jump. There is a timer at the top left, but its purpose is not clear; perhaps just to set a personal record or there may be an associated achievement.

The difficult part arises as players must time their jump so that the oncoming red force field does not hit Cal. Players can only get through the white side when it approaches.

The Red and White Force Field will switch sides every time the player jumps. This includes double jumps.

The Force Field switching sides isn’t random! Jumping is what causes them to switch sides. Timing your jumps carefully is important, players can also plan to jump in midair with the double jump to ensure that the red side does not hit them.

Be aware that the white force field needs to fully pass through the character model before another jump can happen as it has a bit of depth and an early button press may cause instantaneous death.

Upon reaching the final platform the force field will stop, allowing the player to interact with the end goal. The reward for completion of the Fractured Resolve Force Tear is a significant amount of experience, likely resulting in a Skill Point being earned.

There are many other Force Tears and not all of them provide the same reward. Make sure to search every corner of the planets in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, and come back to other hidden or blocked areas once completing the main storyline and having obtained all the necessary upgrades.
