Paramount Plus has a lot of new TV shows and movies coming to the streaming service in June 2023. Paramount Plus launched in March 2021 as a rebranding of the CBS All Access streaming platform, with the goal of expanding its offerings and reach. Thanks to the re-merger between CBS and Viacom in 2019, Paramount Plus also has access to Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, and MTV libraries.

Unlike some of its competitors, Paramount Plus has not put an emphasis on original movie programming except in the case of children’s films. However, the streaming service does have a popular lineup of exclusive original series, including the multiple-timeline and decade-spanning Yellowstone franchise. Properties are constantly being added to or taken out of the streamer’s library, however, and it’s not always easy to keep the collection straight. To help, here is a guide to everything coming to Paramount Plus in June 2023.

  • iCarly Reboot (Season 3)

The first of the month is typically the big drop day for Paramount Plus to put its new library additions to the streaming catalog. This is true for June 1 as well. The more than 100 new movies on Paramount this month (just added on the first) include a lot of classics from the 1950s, like Ghost of Dragstrip Hollow, but there are also more modern action classics like Commando. The big movie additions for the month, however, are the Star Trek movies, which makes sense with the Star Trek series being available through Paramount as well. Kids animated classics like The Rugrats franchise movies are also added, which is a welcome addition as school is out for the summer.

In addition to all of those new movies on Paramount Plus, the new season of one of Paramount’s biggest series also begins streaming on June 1. The iCarly reboot returns for Season 3. The new season will feature the usual hijinks from the characters, but it will also see Freddie (Nathan Kress) and Carly (Miranda Cosgrove) consider their friendship taking a romantic turn, something that happened in the original series before the two decided they were better off as friends.

June 2

Lexi Paloma from Love Allways

  • Love ALLways (Series Premiere)
  • Queen Of The Universe (Season 2)

Paramount Plus is filling its ranks with new reality TV as well. Love ALLways is a unique dating series coming to the platform. The show centers on Lexi Paloma, a pansexual woman looking for love. It’s the first dating show of its kind. In addition to Love ALLways, the second season of Queen Of The Universe also premieres in which drag queens from all over the world compete in a singing contest.

June 4

Michael Dorman and Mustafa Speaks in the woods in Joe Pickett

A neo-Western, Joe Pickett moved from Spectrum’s original content to Paramount Plus in 2021. Now, it returns for Season 2. The series follows a Wyoming game warden and his family in and around Yellowstone National Park. The Picketts have to deal with sudden upheaval in their lives when the political climate of their small community begins to change.

June 5

A group of young men and women walk into a sleek modern house in Margaux

June 5 sees a 2022 horror movie added to Paramount Plus in Margaux. For 30-somethings who remember the Disney Channel original movie Smart House, Margaux is the horror version of that. A group of college friends (including Madison Pettis and Vanessa Morgan) rent a house for the weekend. The smart house has an advanced artificial intelligence system that begins to target the members of the group.

June 7

Lupita Nyong'o on an orange clay road and in front of a white building in Warrior Women

  • Butterbean’s Café (Season 1)
  • The Challenge (Seasons 37-38)
  • The Challenge: Untold History (Season 1)
  • Warrior Women with Lupita Nyong’o (2018)

While June 7 sees quite a bit of MTV content added to the platform with The Challenge reality competition series, it also features a children’s program and a documentary. The children’s program, Butterbean’s Café, is about a fairy who runs a neighborhood café, which will definitely appeal to younger audiences. The documentary, on the hand, will appeal to those with an interest in history, specifically, women’s and African history. Warrior Women With Lupita Nyong’o takes a journey to Benin, West Africa to learn about the Agoji, a female army that is also called Amazons by outsiders.

June 14

  • One Thousand Years of Slavery (Season 1)
  • The Color of Care (2022)
  • The Last Cowboy (Season 2)

While The Last Cowboy is a reality series that follows elite horse-riding competitions, the other additions for June 14 are actually focused on how Black lives are affected by systemic injustices. The Color of Care is a documentary among the movies on Paramount Plus that examines how Black individuals are treated differently in the healthcare system. One Thousand Years Of Slavery is a docuseries that interviews individuals about the Black experience. Some of those interviewed include actors like Courtney B. Vance and CCH Pounder.

  • Star Trek: Strange New Worlds (Season 2)

There’s Something Wrong With The Children is a horror movie that originally was part of the MGM+ lineup, but moves to Paramount Plus. It features a group on a camping trip when, as the title implies, something sinister is wrong with the children, and the children begin targeting the adults. On the flip side for June 15, Paramount Plus also launches the second season of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. The season will continue the adventures of the first season, and add Carol Kane as Lt. Pelia.

The FBI True title card features a redacted document behind the white lettering of the title

For true crime series content, Peacock and Netflix have a much larger catalog than Paramount Plus, but the streamer does bring in a new season to whet the appetite of true crime fans among the subscribers. June 21

The penguins of Madagascar with a bag of cheezy dibbles

  • Ex On The Beach (Season 5)
  • The Penguins of Madagascar (Season 1)

June 21 offers something for adult reality TV fans as well as an animated series for kids with these two new TV series on Paramount Plus. Ex On The Beach is a reality dating show with a twist. The show combines veteran reality TV stars with singles who think they’re appearing on an average dating show, only for them to be confronted by their exes. The Penguins Of Madagascar, on the other hand, acts as a sequel to the animated Madagascar movies, focusing on the penguins that live in the Central Park Zoo.

June 25

The faces of the cast of the BBC series Gold appear on gold bars

  • The Gold (Series Premiere)

The Gold is a British crime drama that aired on BBC One in early 2023 before Paramount Plus picked it up in a streaming deal. The series will definitely appeal to those who like a good heist movie. It’s inspired by the real-life Brink’s-Mat robbery that happened in 1983 and stars Hugh Bonneville, Dominic Cooper, and Charlotte Spencer.

June 26

The Project Almanac teens examining their machine in a workshop

Though most of the new movies on Paramount Plus debut on June 1, there are a few more movies sprinkled throughout the month in slower releases, like Project Almanac. The found footage movie stars Jonny Weston, Virginia Gardner, and Sofia Black-D’Elia as high schoolers who build a time machine and have to deal with the consequences of creating a new timeline.

June 28

  • Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band – Live in New York City
  • Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band – The Legendary 1979 No Nukes Concert
  • My True Crime Story (Season 1)
  • Side Hustle (Season 2)
  • VH1 Family Reunion: Love & Hip Hop (Season 1)

June 28 features a combination of content for music and TV fans. Docuseries My True Crime Story debuts, as does the reality series VH1 Family Reunion: Love & Hip Hop. The bigger draw for this particular day, however, is likely going to be for the music fans who can watch Bruce Springsteen concerts and behind-the-music footage.

June 30

Adam Scott, Rob Corddry, Craig Robinson, and Clark Duke in a Hot Tub Time Machine 2 Banner

The final new movie on Paramount Plus for June is the sequel to Hot Tub Time Machine. The movie features most of the original cast from the first movie in a time-traveling sequel that sees the friends track down who is responsible for shooting one of their own – 10 years into the future.

Of course, if the new movies and TV shows on Paramount Plus aren’t enough content for subscribers, Paramount also adds live sporting and news coverage on a regular basis. The content available depends on the playing schedules.
