Taylor Swift remained the Queen of the Box Office for the second week in a row as AMC’s The Eras Tour raked in $32M in its sophomore frame — a steep -66{81a086e50adc416cb06a533df9c9a0c5cefc9698f6906c0f4cbe2e77960b337a} dip, for sure, but the pic has amassed $131.1M in the US, per Deadline. So, don’t feel too bad for the pop star.

Martin Scorsese’s 3+ hour, R-rated drama Killers of the Flower Moon also showed strong with a $23M opening weekend. Per the trade, this is a solid opening for Apple’s $200M Oscar hopeful. How? Well, the tech giant sees the pic as a means to advertise their name brand and is but a small percentage of their overall revenue.

Still, compared to the R-rated, 3+ hour Oppenheimer’s $82.4M opening, the meager showing for Killers of the Flower Moon — a film starring A-listers Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert DeNiro, directed by one of the all-time great directors — has to be considered disappointing, right? Especially considering its costly price tag.

Then again, this could draw more viewers to Apple’s streaming service. So, who knows?

Overall, the box office is at $86.8M, down 24{81a086e50adc416cb06a533df9c9a0c5cefc9698f6906c0f4cbe2e77960b337a} from the same time last year. Hopefully, the upcoming Five Nights at Freddy’s sends October off on a high note.
