The prince is staying in Bel-Air. Peacock has renewed the Bel-Air TV series for a third season, just four weeks into the show’s second season run. Season two is expected to wrap on April 27th.

A dramatic reimagining of the 90s sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, the Bel-Air TV show stars Jabari Banks, Adrian Holmes, Cassandra Freeman, Olly Sholotan, Coco Jones, Akira Akbar, Jimmy Akingbola, Jordan L. Jones, and Simone Joy Jones. Tatyana Ali, who played the original Ashley Banks from The Fresh Prince sitcom, recurs on the reboot.

Set in modern-day America, the story follows young Will Smith’s (Banks) complicated journey to the gated mansions of Bel-Air. When a couple of guys (who were up to no good) started making trouble in his West Philadelphia neighborhood, Will is sent to stay with his wealthy Aunt Viv (Freeman), Uncle Phil (Holmes), and cousins Carlton (Sholotan), Hilary (Coco Jones), and Ashley (Akbar) in an affluent Los Angeles neighborhood for a fresh start. In season two, Will is at a crossroads as a new figure comes into his life, challenging what he’s learned in Bel-Air and competing for control of his influence.

According to Peacock, Bel-Air was the streamer’s most-watched original premiere. Season two is said to be breaking records on the platform as Peacock’s most-watched original sophomore series to date.

The third season order for Bel-Air joins previously announced renewals of Peacock Original series Dr. Death, Killing It, Poker Face, Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin, We Are Lady Parts, and Wolf Like Me.
