It’s almost Halloween time, and you know what that means: Spooky, scary skeletons send shivers down your spine … and niche, subtle and sometimes downright confusing costumes abound! When it comes to Halloween costumes in 2023, you may want to do a little bit of research before getting into the seasonal spirit, just to avoid having to ask the third guy you’ve seen in the basic striped shirt and shorts what he’s dressed as (he’s Allan!). Fear not, we’ve got you covered. In case you haven’t made it to the movie theater much this year, here are the top 10 movies to watch if you need a crash course on the most popular Halloween costumes for 2023.
: The Eras Tour (2023)

Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour is currently playing in theaters.
Barbie (2023)
Get ready to say “Hi, Barbie!” a whole bunch this Halloween. Barbie will undeniably be one of the most popular Halloween costumes this year (along with Ken costumes, “Weird Barbie costumes” and maybe even an Allan).
